Wow, its a WOW!

Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....

Who would have thought that I would get this... in three weeks... hehe!


This, ladies and gentleman ( who do not work in TGIF)


is a WOW pin. Supposedly its given to staff by the managers or Shift Leaders to anyone who they think have been doin a great job. Think of it like getting golden starts like when we were in kindergarten... haha!


i got one! la la la la la..... HAHAHAHAHA! at least i know that im doing everything right! =)


i didnt even know my manager was going to give it to me... this is the story....


The TGIF International Head Bosses came down so we had to prepare for them.. My managers told everyone to wear all their badges and funny-funny stuff on. I didn't have any. Then, one of my managers, Steve walks up to me and hands me one of these pins ( i asked the staff earlier about these pins). So i just took it and put i t on, ASSUMING that i would have to give it back later... The bosses came and left and were suppose to come back later so i still kept the pin on. Later that night, during the shift meeting Steve was briefing us about this and that... The next thin gi know he said, "And as you all might have noticed, today i gave Atika a WOW pin~"


First thing i thought was HELL YEAH BAYBEH!!!! WOOHOO!!! (hahahaha)

no lah.. i was in state of shock! like BLURR shit case... haha! then he said the sweetest thing ever! He said, " Even though she is only a Trainee, I feel as if she has become one of our staff so that is why i gave her the WOW pin."


Awwwwwww....


This is the kind of act that makes me feel all gushy inside... hehe! They even said that if i EVER felt like coming back.. I should just send my resume and they will take me in as a RMIT (Restaurant Manager In Training)...


Anyhoo, a shoutout to you people.. Orientation Dinner for the new batch is on 1 August 2008...

and.. i miss u guys SO MUCH!!! i really hope ur training is as fun as mine! if i haven't been picking up your calls.. its only because im on duty.. My shift is officiall 12pm - 8pm but sometimes i do OT..

Purchasing Department

its been almost a month since i start working in the purchasing department. First week was receiving goods from the supplier. All i do was chop on the invoice, sign and check the goods whether its in good condition or not. Repeating the steps the whole week. Well for second week, i mostly stayed in the office typing in the information from the price quotation and start comparing prices from different supplier. Usually there's alot of information to be type-in and take like the whole day of looking n typing it in. For third week, its a mix of both of them. Finally i'm in the last week in purchasing. The last week is much fun because there is this pretty girl from our college but doing higher diploma and she's from indonesia. The motivation to go to work haha :) well looking forward for next week since i'll be training in sales and marketing for 1 month. Btw training at sheraton subang hotel and towers again.

C'est E x c i t i n g Non

hey guys...
kinda late now...but still wanna post hahaha
currently all of my days of work is form 12pm-10pm
and they called it as SwinG(whee...) hahahaha

once a week i will be getting Morning shift which is from 9am-4pm hehehe..
after that can baliks d...
and once a while will get Closing which is from 4pm till 12am ...siao giler...

so far..what have i achieved training in Italiannies is...

Stage 1
1. Getting to know the peeps.. there most of them are Philipinos...
2. Remembering the menu..which is quite easy to remember now since i already been working there for 1 week++(kacang only ahhahha)
3. Take a so called Test paper to know stuff inside the restaurant well...(services, utensils, etc)
4. Food runner
5. Bread cutter
6. Packing pasta( linguine 180g, shell pasta 230g, fettucinne 180g, angel hair 230g, spagetti 180g)
7. Wipe cutleries
8.Serve and top up drinks
9. Free gas drinks for staffs lol YaY!

Stage 2
1. Helping out at the stations
2. Taking order YAY!

Stage 3
I just accomplished this stage today...which is handling a station by myself. This is just so cool man....lucky the station they gave me was quite small , Table 30-35
Quite a big crowd today, Saturday. There were quite some turnover tonight. I did serve ang mos
tonight..very friendly...after their dinner the Host shook my hands LOL and i felt respected as a server . Thanks sir.

Stage 4
1. It will soon come true as i will be getting my thumb print to be recognise in the micros system so that i could take orders and sell the flings and smoothies to earn some extra cash.
1 drink = 50 cents. it is like a challenge to all servers.nice~~~

The Little Twit

UPDATE UPDATE!!! hahaha!

yea yea i noe... took me a damn long time right??? i have a real good excuse for it tho.. and im damn emo right now so bear with me.. I'll let u noe why along the way...

let me just categorize everything alright??? =)___________________________________________________________________

1. Training (at a glance)
So far, its DA BOMB!! really really!! everything about it is just so exciting! despite the politics (crazy shit politics man!) everyone there are total sweethearts. So much for "a cruel cruel world" or "a harsh industry" kinda talk... i mean, not everything and everyone is perfectly fine. Its just that i didnt expect it to be this fun!

My managers are laid back... the kind where u can easily relate to... and talk to. Jokes and laughter throughout the day (well, most of the days so far including some drama or as they call it, "wayang"). Basically a casual and non-serious atmosphere kinda place.

Only sad part is my Supervisor just got transferred to the Pavillion branch. He's the clown of the whole bunch (somewhat of a cheerleader too!). So not having him around is kinda boring and makes the place seem quiet to the point of death when there are no customers.... ugH!

Right now, i am a Hostess or what we call in TGI, an SPG which stands for "smiling people greeters"... Cool huh??? my job description is damn easy! Wanna noe what it is??

JOB DESCRIPTION - HOSTESS (SPG)

  • smile, kiss *ss and try to even lick and fan guest's *ss when first greeting guest
  • initiate hypocrite mode and lead the guest to table while s*cking up to the guest
  • remain a hypocrite when u speak to a guest
  • maintain hypocrite face and posture when you take all the crap and b*llsh*t and the f*cked up sh*t *ss donkey attitude from a guest
  • maintain hypocrite face and personality when answering, solving or when talking to guest after taking all the cr*p and b*llsh*t and the f*cked up sh*t *ss donkey attitude from a guest
  • maintain (again) hypocrite face when a little twit of an Arab boy follows you around the whole bloody restaurant saying something in Arabic only to find out later after he screams at you in the middle of the bloody reastaurant that he wants a bloody lighter to light something up for himself
  • still maintain hypocrite face when a little twit of an Arab boy runs around you (again) holding a birthday candle that CLEARLY came from the candle basket at the restaurant (this is ur cue to hide the basket and check regularly)
  • STILL MAINTAIN a hypocrite face when you find that half of the birthday candles in the basket are gone 10 minutes later and have a feeling that the little twit of an Arab boy had something to do with it
  • STILL MAINTAIN a hypocrite face when you find the little twit of an Arab boy running around with candle stick pieces and dropping them everywhere
    Keep both of your hands in your pockets
  • STILL TRY TO F*CKING MAINTAIN when you lead the guest to the exit and refrain all feelings to kick the little twit of an Arab boy on the backside while he isn't looking

See? Its not THAT hard now is it???I'll write up a whole day-to-day thing up so u can read my daily drama in Fridays... haha!___________________________________________________________________

2. College

I miss it... hehehe~

Just that i miss u nincampoops lah.... SO MUCH!!! i hope u guys are alright with ur training... i wanna call most of u up but then again, im scared that u might be on duty, and u cant pick up, and then la la la, and then bla bla bla, and so on so forth....

3. The reason of me "emo"ing...

My maid threw away my contact lense case. That was it. That is why im pissed as hell.

Her reason of throwing it was this :

"Oh, saya tengok tak ada apa-apa dalam kotak itu. Sebab itu lah saya
buang.Kenapa?"

Best part is it was covered in god noes what rubbish in my rubbish bin... ashes and dust and some kind of berbulu sh*t.....

Then i said:

"Memang la tak ada! Saya tengah pakai isinya!"

And she said:

"Oh ye ke?Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha~"

(Ader jugak kes Nirmala Bonat 2 kejap lagi! Grrrrrrrrrr!)

Yeah.. very funny! u can stop laughing now...

well... i am currently training at ...

the funny thing is that the mall here in ITALY is called The Curve...darn weird huh...
well...this is my third day d...
kinda like that place so far... they have proper training.. which is good...organized, i like it!!

well.. the best thing is that I as the staff have 50% off for ALL FOOD ITEMS and DESSERT
which made my money kinda BIG nowadays...hahahahha
this includes
TIRAMISU
, NY CHEESECAKE, CUPPOCINO PIE,
CALAMARI CAESAR SALAD, FETTUCINE CARBONARA, SHRIMP SLING, MINESTRONE, MARSALA MUSHROOM SOUP, and MANY MORE!!!!!( to atika especially....>.<)

so if you guys are free come by see see me la...air ticket nowadays so cheap..
if i have the time and money....
i will go visit you guys lah...
dont say i nvr try ya....

before that...i would like to dedicate this to you guys...
a MULTI-Language Happy Working Song...sounds good.. especially the French part... hahaha
